Write a short video script that has room to breathe

Use one situation, one useful detail and one next step to build an editable creator-video brief.
In this guide
A short video often starts with a long list: the problem, the product, three features, an offer and a call to action. Trying to say all of it usually creates a rushed script. Choose the single detail the viewer should remember before choosing an opening line.
Personify’s script allowance depends on the selected format and duration. Follow the word guidance shown in the brief, and treat it as a limit rather than a target. Delivery speed, pauses and pronunciation still affect whether a line feels comfortable.
Describe a recognizable situation
“Your tasks are scattered everywhere” is broad. “The request is in yesterday’s group chat” gives the viewer a particular moment to recognize. The second opening also makes it easier to choose a useful visual.
For a fictional task app, a starting script could be: “The request is in yesterday’s group chat. Turn it into a task with a due date, so your team knows what happens next. See the workflow.”
This is an illustrative script, not a customer testimonial or a claim about a real product. Replace the workflow with something your product demonstrably does.
Put visual direction beside the script
Keep camera instructions out of the spoken words. Write “casual delivery at a desk” in creative direction, then leave the spoken script as the sentence you want the presenter to say.
If exact interface text matters, use an authentic screen recording. A generated shot can help tell a story, but it should not serve as proof of a product control or result it has invented.
Read it once without rushing
Read the script aloud at the intended pace. Remove repeated benefits and introductory filler. Check unfamiliar names separately: a script that fits the word limit can still need extra time for pronunciation.
In Personify, save the brief and review the complete approved script before generation. Changing the script afterward means a new creative take; it is not a free text edit to already-generated speech.
Finally, watch the full output. Check the spoken words, delivery and visuals rather than assuming a completed generation is ready to publish. Use the interactive demo to try brief editing before starting a real take.
Put the brief to work.
